Steven Sims spent fifteen years in Los Angeles as a producer, editor, performer, and host. With experience in both broadcast television and digital content, Steven has had an interesting career both in front of and behind the camera. After graduating from Robert Morris University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Production, Steven relocated to Los Angeles where he worked as a producer, editor, and performer. In 2023 he moved back to his hometown of Pittsburgh where he started SIMS TV Productions, a video production company specializing in television, digital content, and social media.
 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

Since college Steven has created and produced several narrative projects, including his 2008 claim to fame, Destroying Jonah Hill, which landed him a lead role in the parody film, The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It. As an actor, Steven appeared in the Netflix film A Futile and Stupid Gesture while being featured in various digital series and comedy shorts. Most recently, Steven worked as an on-camera producer alongside Mike Rowe in the Facebook Watch series, Returning The Favor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As a producer, Steven has overseen production on multiple television series and digital content for various networks including NBC, HBO, Bravo, E!, and VH1. From NBC's American Ninja Warrior to Bravo's Million Dollar Listing, Steven has a wide range of producing experience. In addition Steven also has experience producing various documentaries including the 2012 television movie, I Am Britney Jean, featuring the princess of pop, Britney Spears.
 

 

 

 

 


 

 

After 15 years of producing and performing, Steven became the first VP of WOW Presents Plus, overseeing production and programming for the official streaming service of World of Wonder and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Steven was the network executive for several series while with WOW Presents Plus, including Painted with Raven, Vanjie: 24 Hours of Love, and the Frock Destroyers: Frockumentary.

Currently, Steven works as a freelance producer and editor, while overseeing production operations for his own company, SIMS TV Productions.
